How do you get hydrangeas to change colors?any one know?
it has to do w/the acidity of the soil. if you live in an area where it is more alkaline you can use "miracid" by miracle-gro. if you already live in acid soil ,there's probably a way and maybe someone more informed than i will answer. if not, go to your local nursery/greenhouse.
Reply:Take some cuttings and pot up with some rusty nails(at the end of pot) to create acid conditions and hopefully produce blue hydrangeas, pink hydrangeas normally grow in alkaline soil.

Tea bags? added to the soil may also effect the outcome of colour.
Reply:Hi Eddie, you use Epsom salts. You can get these at food shop or chemist. Can't recall the amount, but your garden center would know. Good Luck!
