I have 2 hydrangeas. They are green and helthy, but they do not grow. They have gotten only about 6 to 8 inch?

Could use a little more information.... What hardiness zone do you live in? How old are the plants? What type of soil do you have? What have you used on them so far? When did you last prune them? How often are they watered? What direction (North, south, east, west) are they facing? How much sun time do they get? All these things are factors that could affect the growth of your plants...

Just guessing I will suggest you fertilize them with Milorganite which is immediately broken down and can be used safely on everything, plants and lawn. I'd then look at the soil they are growing in. Call your local extension office and find out what you need to do to bring in a soil sample to be tested. Hydrangeas need more acidic (?) soil and once you know what you're working with, you can add amendments to help it grow and stay healthy and happy.

My hydrangeas liked an acidic soil.
Reply:If you got these in full bloom in an off season it will take at least 2 years for them to pop back from being forced, if they look healthy just keep watering them
Reply:Are they still in pots? If they are %26amp; you want to keep them in pots, transplant them to larger pots...the more room for the roots to grow, the bigger the plant grows...

If they are in the ground, feed them some Miracle Gro plant food and water them more often.
